The Winteringham Camera Club Annual General Meeting 8th April 2009

The Winteringham Camera Club held its monthly meeting on Wednesday 8th April.
The meeting this month was the annual general meeting. The meeting started at 7-40 pm with the chair welcoming all present and accepted apologises from members not able to attend. The chair proposed a vote of thanks to all existing committee members for their hard work over the last year.
Members received reports from the following, chair person, treasurer and secretary, the existing committee then stepped down, the following were elected to form the new committee Ken Jacobs, Jean Jacobs, Ken Ashton, Martyn Hammond, Kay Ashberry, Gordon Griffiths, Sandi Johnson and Alan Kitchen.
Questions, ideas, suggestions and comments from members were received by the new committee on what they would like the club to consider for the next year, field trips, camera tuition, workshops, speakers, fund raising and local events like the church fete in July. It was also decided at the meeting to increase print size for the photo slot competition from A5 to a maximum of A4, and all prints receiving places in the photo slot competition will be digitally projected on the night of the photographer of the year award.

The meeting closed at 9-20 pm
A night not to miss next month on the 13th May at 7-30 pm when Dave & Maggie Warren return with a slide show on another of their trips, photo slot will be an open competition.
Another date to put on your calendar is the 10th June at 7-30 pm when Dr Kevin Leahy will be the guest speaker on local archaeology; photo slot will be a landscape competition.
