The Winteringham Camera Club Meeting 14th January 2009
Next meeting: 11th February 2009
The Winteringham Camera Club held its monthly meeting on Wednesday 14th January.
The night was a practical evening with members taking photos of still life subjects provided by club members. The members were shown you do not need expensive equipment to undertake still life photography to produce stunning photos. You only need one or two desk top bendy lights, a piece of material as a back drop then raid the kitchen cupboards for cooking foil as a reflector, greaseproof paper as a diffuser to soften the light source. Then set up the camera, switch of the flash, attach to a tripod because of the long exposures involved, set up the props adjust the lights, reflector and diffuser and take the photo, check shot on camera view screen and re-adjust the light, reflector and diffuser if required. All had a tremendously enjoyable evening with raffle and ideas for next month’s photo slot competition.
The photo slot competition was judged by club members on a point scoring system
