The Winteringham Camera Club Meeting 14th October 2009.
Next meeting: 11th November 2009
Jean Brumby who demonstrated basic Photo Shop techniques entertained the club. She explained the terms used in Photo Shop, from workspace, tool bar, options bar, palette well, layers palette to history palette. Jean also covered the following: Symbols on the tool bar and names of some of the tools. How to use the magic wand to remove a sky and what the options bar allows us to change to make the tool work in different ways. How to use the move tool to re-size and re-shape, in this case a sky, and also how to move one image onto another. How to create a new layer and to move layers about in the layers palette. How to change the opacity of a layer. How to use the crop tool to straighten an image. A full set of instructions was handed out to all members, who had a very instructive and enjoyable evening.
